Fort Warden State Park: 
Port Townsend Area, 16 mile drive, 12 miles of hiking and biking trails, 2 miles of beach front, military museum, marine science center. Wonderful sandy beach, our families favorite. Bring flash lights for the underground bunkers, kids love it.

Old Fort Townsend State Park:
Port Townsend Area, 13 mile drive, 7 miles hiking, semi flat rolling hills, small beach. Our favorite place for trail running.

Fort Flagler State Park: 
On Marrowstone Island across the bay looking towards Port Townsend. 18 mile drive, 5 miles of hiking and biking trails, over 3 miles of beach front, military museum, 1905 military hospital museum.

Dungeness Spit Lighthouse:
Sequim area, 31 mile drive, 10 mile hike roundtrip on beach.



Gibbs Lake: 
Chimacum area, 4 mile drive, 3 mile hike around lake, fun mountain bike trails, small park with grass on lake, no fees. Water is brown from high iron levels but locals love to swim here.

Anderson Lake State Park: 
Port Hadlock area, 8 mile drive, 3 miles hiking and biking trails.



Ludlow Falls: 
Port Ludlow area, 11 mile drive, 1 mile hike roundtrip.

Fallsview Canyon: 
Quilcene area, 15 mile drive, 1.5 mile hike roundtrip.


Mountain Hikes

Mount Townsend:
Quilcene area, 28 mile drive – last 10 miles gravel – 1.5 hrs, 8.2 mile hike roundtrip. Amazing views of Olympics and Puget Sound area.

Mount Walker: 
Quilcene area, 18 mile drive all highway – 25 min, 5 mile hike roundtrip. Beautiful hike with great views, a little deflating when you get to the top and see that there is also access by car.

Hurricane Ridge: 
Port Angeles area, 58 mile drive all paved – 1.5 hrs, You drive to the top of the mountain where there are short meadow hikes and amazing views of the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan De Fuca.
